Rackets & Rascals Covered Padel Court Project in Nairobi Kenya

Project Overview

Rackets & Rascals is a family-friendly padel and leisure destination located at New Muthaiga Mall on Thigiri Ridge Road in Nairobi, Kenya. The venue combines premium padel facilities with a café and children’s play area, creating a complete recreational space for families, social groups, and sports enthusiasts.

For this commercial sports venue, we delivered a customized covered padel court solution designed to provide reliable performance, comfortable playing conditions, and a distinctive visual identity.

A Complete Covered Padel Court Complex

The project includes two doubles padel courts and one singles padel court. All courts are installed beneath a large-span roof structure, allowing the venue to operate more reliably during changing weather conditions while improving comfort for players throughout the day.

The roof system, supporting steel framework, court enclosures, lighting, glass panels, fencing, playing surfaces, and surrounding circulation areas were coordinated as part of the overall venue solution.

Professional Court Structure and Clear Visibility

The courts use a combination of tempered glass panels and metal mesh fencing to create an enclosed playing area while maintaining excellent visibility.

The black structural framework provides a modern commercial appearance, while the transparent glass panels create an open viewing experience for players, spectators, and customers in the surrounding leisure areas.

The elevated lighting arrangement provides broad court coverage without occupying the playing area, supporting both daytime and evening use.

Customized Court Colors

To create a more distinctive and energetic venue, the project uses customized blue and pink playing surfaces together with green artificial turf in the surrounding walkways.

The different court colors help distinguish the playing areas while strengthening the venue’s visual identity. This demonstrates that the court surface, structural finish, artificial turf color, and supporting facilities can be customized according to the customer’s branding and commercial concept.

Designed for Commercial Operation

This project was developed as more than a standard sports court installation. The overall layout supports a commercial venue that combines sports, family recreation, food, social interaction, and community activities.

The venue currently operates as a premium padel destination in Nairobi, offering equipment rental, café and restaurant services, changing facilities, Wi-Fi, and a children’s play area.
